International Students Devastated After North Belfast Burglary and Vital ID Theft

A community of international students living in North Belfast has been thrown into turmoil after a residential break-in resulted in the theft of vital identification documents, including passports and visas. The victims, who relocated to Belfast for their university studies, have expressed their deep distress over the incident.

The burglary occurred at a property in North Belfast, where suspects gained entry and ransacked the home. Aside from the emotional toll of having their personal space violated, the students are now facing the complex and stressful process of replacing foreign official identity documents, which are crucial for their legal status and daily lives in the UK.

Local community support groups and university representatives are working to assist the affected students during this difficult period. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is investigating the break-in and has urged anyone with information, or who might find discarded documents in the North Belfast area, to contact them immediately.
