Connor Gallagher: Alleged burglar caught emerging from Belfast shop roof with ยฃ3k in cash and cigarettes
An alleged burglar has appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court after being caught red-handed emerging from the roof of a local retail store carrying thousands of pounds in stolen goods and cash. Connor Gallagher is accused of breaking into the commercial premises and attempting to make his escape across the rooftops.
The court heard that police were alerted to a potential break-in at a shop in Belfast during the early hours of the morning. Officers arriving at the scene quickly established a perimeter around the building. Upon searching the exterior, police spotted the suspect, identified as Gallagher, climbing out of an opening in the roof.
According to the prosecution, Gallagher was found in possession of approximately ยฃ3,000 worth of stolen items, including a large quantity of cigarettes, tobacco products, and cash taken from the store's register. He was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with burglary. Gallagher has been remanded in custody as the case continues to be processed by the courts.
