Terrified Staff Member Threatened with Kitchen Knife in Ardoyne Shop Robbery

Police are appealing for information following a traumatic armed robbery in the Ardoyne area of North Belfast, where a female employee was threatened with a large kitchen knife. The suspect entered the local shop and confronted the staff member behind the counter, brandishing the weapon and demanding cash from the till.

Under extreme duress, the shop assistant complied with the assailant's demands, handing over a quantity of cash. The armed robber then fled the scene on foot, heading deeper into the surrounding residential area. While the staff member was not physically harmed, she was left deeply shaken by the violent confrontation.

Community representatives have expressed their disgust at the targeting of local retail workers, calling for increased police visibility in the area to deter such crimes. The Police Service of Northern Ireland has issued a description of the suspect and is asking anyone who was in the Ardoyne area around the time of the incident and witnessed anything suspicious to contact them immediately.
