Falls Road commercial burglary: ATM damaged and cash stolen in overnight raid
A commercial burglary at a property on Belfast's Falls Road has left an ATM severely damaged and a significant sum of cash stolen. The incident, which took place during the overnight hours, has prompted a major police appeal for information.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) responded to reports of a break-in at a commercial premises on the Falls Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered that perpetrators had gained entry to the building and targeted the internal automatic teller machine (ATM). The machine was heavily damaged during the raid as the thieves forced it open to access the cash cassettes inside.
An undisclosed sum of money was stolen before the suspects fled the scene. Detectives have established a cordon around the property while forensic experts examine the site for evidence. The PSNI is appealing to any witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity or vehicles in the vicinity of Falls Road during the night to come forward.
