Gunpoint Cash Van Robbery Sparks Manhunt on Belfast Outskirts

A major police investigation and manhunt have been launched on the outskirts of Belfast following a daring cash-in-transit robbery in which security staff were threatened at gunpoint.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a swift response from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). According to initial reports, armed individuals targeted the security vehicle as it was carrying out a routine cash delivery or collection. The perpetrators brandished firearms, leaving the staff members severely shaken, though no physical injuries have been reported.

Police officers, including specialized tactical units and air support, have cordoned off the scene and are carrying out intensive searches in the surrounding area. Detective Inspector in charge of the investigation appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, noticed suspicious activity, or captured dashcam footage in the vicinity around the time of the robbery to contact the PSNI immediately.
