Two Residential Properties Targeted in Finaghy Burglary Incidents
Residents in South Belfast are on high alert following a series of burglaries, including two separate homes in the Finaghy area that were targeted within a short timeframe. The break-ins coincide with another disturbing incident in nearby Andersonstown, where an 80-year-old homeowner had to confront an intruder.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that entry was forced or attempted at two properties in Finaghy, with forensic officers attending the scenes to gather evidence. It remains unclear what items were stolen during the double break-in, but local community coordinators are urging neighbors to look out for one another and report any suspicious activity immediately.
โThese incidents highlight the ongoing threat posed by opportunist thieves,โ a PSNI spokesperson stated. โWe are requesting that anyone who saw suspicious vehicles or individuals in the Finaghy or Andersonstown areas on Friday, March 15, contact us immediately to assist with our enquiries.โ
