Masked Gang Raids Brighton Marina E-Bike Shop in Early-Hours Heist

Sussex Police have launched a major investigation after a masked gang carried out a daring raid on an e-bike specialist shop in Brighton Marina. The commercial burglary took place in the early hours of Friday, 19 July 2024, at approximately 1:45 am, causing significant damage and loss.

CCTV footage captured five individuals dressed in grey and black tracksuits with their faces covered. The gang used heavy weapons to smash through the store's glass storefront. Once inside, they targeted high-value electric mountain bikes, successfully wheeling out six of them. The stolen e-bikes were quickly loaded into a silver Ford Transit van waiting nearby. The suspects then fled the scene in a blue BMW. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the Brighton Marina area at the time of the heist to contact them, citing reference 96 of 19/07.
