Two Men Charged After Burglaries in Brighton and Felpham
Sussex Police have charged two men following separate burglary investigations across Brighton and Felpham. The arrests highlight a coordinated crackdown on commercial and residential burglaries in the Sussex region.
David Mann, 45, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of theft from a shop following a break-in at the Iydea Vegetarian Kitchen in Kensington Gardens, Brighton, on Tuesday, 24 February 2026. Mann was also linked to other offences, including a burglary at the Intenso Espresso Bar in Hove and multiple shoplifting incidents at the Co-op and The White Company in Brighton. In a separate incident on the same day, police responded to a burglary on Limmer Lane in Felpham. A police dog was deployed to track the suspect, leading to the arrest of 22-year-old Jacob Meigh. Meigh has since been charged with burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal, going equipped for a burglary, and attempted burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal.
