Two teenagers have been arrested and formally charged following a daring high-value theft at the Apple Store in the heart of Cambridge's shopping district, where merchandise valued at £11,000 was stolen.

The incident occurred during business hours when a group of individuals entered the retail store on the Grand Arcade. The suspects quickly targeted the display tables, grabbing multiple high-end iPhone models and ripping them from their security tethers before fleeing on foot into the crowded city streets.

Rapid Response by Police Officers

Following a rapid response by local patrol officers and city center security staff, two male teenagers were located and detained in a nearby street shortly after the incident. A search of the suspects led to the recovery of several of the stolen devices, which have since been returned to the store.

The two teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to their age, have been charged with theft and are scheduled to appear in youth court. Police are continuing their investigations to identify and locate other individuals believed to have been involved in the conspiracy.
