CCTV images released after burglary in which woman was assaulted in Cambridge

Cambridgeshire Constabulary has released CCTV images of a man they are seeking to identify in connection with a violent burglary that took place at a residential property in Cambridge, during which a female occupant was assaulted.

The incident occurred in the late evening, when an intruder forced entry into the home. Upon being confronted by the homeowner, the suspect assaulted the woman before fleeing the scene with several personal items. Paramedics attended the location to treat the victim's minor injuries, though she was left severely shaken by the ordeal.

CCTV Appeal Issued by Detectives

Detectives investigating the burglary have released images of a man they believe may have crucial information that could assist with their inquiries. Police are urging anyone who recognizes the individual pictured, or who was in the area at the time and noticed any suspicious activity, to contact them immediately.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "This was a highly distressing incident for the victim, who was assaulted in the safety of her own home. We are carrying out full forensic investigations and are appealing to the public to help us identify the man shown in the CCTV footage."
