Thieves Secure £7,000 Haul in Burglary at Corby Tesco Mobile Shop
Detectives in Corby are investigating a high-value break-in at the Tesco Mobile shop inside the Tesco Extra store, where thieves made off with mobile devices worth an estimated £7,000.
The burglary occurred during the night of Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the retail site located on Oakley Road, Corby. According to police reports, offenders breached the main building and targeted the secure display cases of the Tesco Mobile concession. Using tools to smash the glass cabinetry, the intruders cleared out multiple high-end smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches before escaping into the night.
CCTV Images Released
In response to the theft, Northamptonshire Police have issued CCTV images of the suspects, who were captured wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and face coverings to obscure their identities. Officers are analyzing the footage and tracking local fence networks where the stolen electronics might be offered for sale.
Police are appealing to local residents and businesses, particularly those with CCTV or dashcam footage near the Oakley Road area around the time of the break-in. Furthermore, the public is cautioned to be wary of anyone selling brand-new, boxed mobile phones at unusually low prices in the Northamptonshire area.
