Coventry Home Burglary Probe Launched as Jewellery and Electrical Items Stolen

COVENTRY, West Midlands — An investigation is underway following a burglary at a home in Coventry where thieves escaped with a cache of valuable jewellery and electrical equipment.

Officers were called to the scene after the homeowners returned to find their property had been entered and ransacked. Forensic investigators have examined the address for finger-prints and DNA evidence, while officers conduct door-to-door enquiries and check local CCTV networks for suspicious activity in the area around the time of the break-in.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious individuals or vehicles in the vicinity to come forward. Residents are also advised to keep high-value items, such as jewellery and small electronics, out of plain sight from windows and to utilize domestic safes where possible to secure their most valuable possessions.
