CCTV Released After Intruder Confronted Inside Derby Home During Burglary

Detectives in Derby have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to following a burglary in which a homeowner discovered a stranger inside their property. The incident occurred during the daytime, causing significant distress to the residents of the household.

Police reports state that the homeowner returned to the property and was shocked to find an unknown male inside. Upon being discovered, the suspect quickly fled the scene before police could be summoned. A subsequent search of the area by officers, supported by police dog units, did not locate the intruder, prompting a wider public appeal.

Specialist forensic officers have examined the property for traces of evidence, and investigators have collected CCTV footage from surrounding streets. Derbyshire Constabulary is now asking residents to look closely at the newly released images to see if they recognize the individual or can provide any information regarding his whereabouts.

"This was a highly intrusive incident that has left the occupants feeling unsafe in their own home," a police spokesperson commented. "We are committed to finding the person responsible and urge anyone with information, dashcam footage, or doorbell camera recordings from the area to come forward immediately."
