Two Arrested After Break-In at New Store Replacing Former Doncaster Marks & Spencer

DONCASTER, South Yorkshire — Two suspects have been arrested following an overnight break-in at the new retail store that recently opened in the former Marks & Spencer building in Doncaster.

The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when security systems at the store alerted police to an unauthorized entry. Officers arrived promptly at the scene and apprehended two individuals inside the premises. The building, a prominent landmark in Doncaster's town centre, had recently undergone redevelopment to host the new retail outlet after M&S relocated.

"Officers responded to reports of a break-in at a commercial property in Doncaster town centre. Two individuals, a man and a woman, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody for questioning. A portion of stolen stock was recovered at the scene."
