Terrified Edinburgh Resident Targeted by Masked Gang Drilling Door Lock

An Edinburgh woman has been left severely shaken after a masked gang targeted her home in a targeted attempted break-in. During the incident, the gang destroyed visible security cameras before attempting to bypass the front door lock using a drill.

The unsettling event took place on February 27, 2026. The resident was inside her home when she realized that a group of masked individuals had approached the property. In a calculated effort to evade detection, the suspects vandalized the exterior security system and began drilling directly into the cylinder of the door lock.

Although the thieves did not manage to gain entry to the property, the victim has been left traumatized by the incident.
