Burglar Targets Leeds Students Using Stolen Bank Cards in Hyde Park Area
An investigation into a series of student burglaries in Leeds has concluded following the tracking of a burglar who targeted student accommodation and used their stolen bank cards in and around the Hyde Park area. The neighborhood, which has a high density of student housing, has frequently been a focal point for opportunistic thieves.
The offender targeted student houses, often taking advantage of unlocked doors or open windows in shared properties. Among the items stolen were wallets, purses, electronics, and bank cards. The suspect then immediately attempted to use the stolen contactless cards at nearby local convenience stores and off-licenses before the victims had a chance to cancel them.
