Leeds Teenagers Boast About 'Easy' Luxury Car Burglary in Messages to Friends

A group of teenagers who targeted a residential property in Leeds to steal luxury vehicles subsequently boasted to their peers about how simple the crime was to execute, messages have revealed.

The youths broke into the victims' home to locate the keys for the high-end cars parked outside. After successfully obtaining the keys and fleeing with the vehicles, the perpetrators sent messages to their friends bragging that the burglary was "easy as f***", showing a brazen disregard for the law and the impact on the homeowners.

The digital trail left by the suspects has become a key piece of evidence in the police investigation. West Yorkshire Police have recovered the messages as part of their inquiries, which have led to the identification of several young suspects. Security experts advise homeowners to keep car keys in signal-blocking pouches and away from entry points to deter potential thieves from attempting similar key-theft burglaries.
