Looters Devastate County Road Store, Stealing Stock and Owner's Pet Canaries

A local business owner has been left devastated after a group of masked looters targeted his store during a night of intense violent disorder on County Road in Walton, Liverpool. CCTV footage captured the moment a mob ripped down the security shutters and smashed the storefront windows of the King Store to gain entry.

Inside, the looters systematically cleared the shelves, stealing approximately £15,000 worth of stock, including vapes, cigarettes, toiletries, and household goods. They also broke open the cash register and emptied the till. In a heartless and bizarre turn, the intruders also made off with three pet canaries that the owner kept in the shop.

The store's owner, Ardalan Othman, was not on the premises at the time but watched the looting unfold in real-time through a remote CCTV feed. Othman described feeling completely helpless and heartbroken, noting that the perpetrators could be seen laughing and celebrating as they destroyed his livelihood. Merseyside Police have released CCTV images of the incident and are urging anyone with information about the looters or the whereabouts of the stolen pets to contact them immediately.
