CCTV Captures Thief Smashing Glass Door to Steal Cash Register from London Pizzeria

Surveillance cameras have captured the dramatic moment a thief smashed through the front glass door of a local London pizzeria to steal the cash register. The bold break-in has left the restaurant owners facing both property damage and lost revenue.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Security footage shows a lone suspect, dressed in a hooded jacket, approaching the restaurant's entrance. The individual used a heavy object to shatter the glass pane of the front door, kicked through the remaining glass, and crawled inside the premises.

Once inside, the intruder headed straight for the counter. Within seconds, they ripped the entire cash till from the POS system and made a quick escape back through the broken door. The entire burglary lasted less than a minute. While the till contained only a small float of change, the destruction of the custom glass door and the damage to the wiring of the cash system will cost the restaurant significantly more to repair.

The pizzeria's management has shared the video footage online in hopes that someone might recognize the suspect's clothing or build. Local police are reviewing the video and investigating the incident as part of a series of commercial break-ins in the surrounding neighborhood.
