Man 'used sign language to rob deaf pensioner in Norwich'
A shocking and highly unusual robbery has left the local community in Norwich deeply concerned after a deaf pensioner was targeted by a criminal who used sign language to facilitate the crime.
According to reports, the incident occurred in a residential area of Norwich, where the suspect approached the elderly victim. In a calculated move, the perpetrator initiated communication using sign language, which initially disarmed the pensioner. However, the interaction quickly turned into a robbery as the offender took advantage of the victim's vulnerability to steal personal belongings.
Local police are carrying out a full investigation into the theft, which has been widely condemned by local advocacy groups for deaf and disabled individuals. "To target someone by exploiting their form of communication is particularly heinous," said a local community representative. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and have urged anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behavior or has information to contact Norfolk Constabulary immediately.
