Nottingham Serial Burglar Jailed After Stealing Thousands from Clifton Pub Safe

A serial burglar has been jailed after a string of commercial and pub thefts across Nottingham, including a high-value break-in at a pub where he resided. Stephen Walker, 54, was caught on CCTV breaking into a safe at The Peacock pub on Southchurch Drive in Clifton on 25 May 2024.

Walker, who lived in accommodation above the premises, managed to steal approximately ยฃ7,650 in cash during the incident. Investigative work by local police linked him to the theft at The Peacock as well as several other commercial and retail burglaries in the area.

Following his arrest and prosecution, Walker was sentenced to prison and ordered by the court to pay back ยฃ5,000 in compensation. The sentencing brings a conclusion to a series of thefts that had caused significant concern and financial loss to local business owners.
