Victim Sustains Head Injuries in Violent Sainsbury's Local Cashpoint Robbery
A shocking act of violence occurred outside a Sainsbury's Local store in Nottingham, where a man was assaulted and robbed while trying to use an automated teller machine (ATM). The attack, which took place in April 2025, has triggered a police investigation and raised safety concerns among residents in the surrounding neighborhood.
According to police and eyewitness accounts, the victim was at the Sainsbury's cashpoint when he was suddenly targeted by an assailant. During the confrontation, the suspect used extreme force, slamming the victim's head violently against the shop's glass display window. The impact caused significant distress and physical injury to the victim.
The robber succeeded in stealing cash from the victim before fleeing the scene. Emergency services were called to the location shortly after the incident to provide medical attention to the injured man.
