Intruding burglary suspect arrested after being found eating a sandwich in Nottingham kitchen

A burglary suspect has been taken into police custody in Nottingham following an unusual confrontation inside a residential property. A local homeowner returned to their flat only to discover an uninvited visitor standing in the kitchen, casually eating a sandwich.

Upon realizing that their flat had been broken into, the homeowner immediately contacted Nottinghamshire Police. Officers responded quickly to the call and arrived at the property while the suspect was still on the premises, preventing any chance of escape.

The suspect was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary. Police have praised the quick thinking of the occupant and are using the incident to remind residents to keep doors and windows securely locked, particularly during winter evenings.
