Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Attempted Supermarket Burglary in Peterborough

Police have launched an investigation following an attempted burglary at a supermarket in Peterborough. The incident, which has prompted a public appeal for information, occurred in the early hours of the morning, causing damage to the store's entrance.

According to initial reports from local authorities, suspects attempted to force entry into the retail premises but were unsuccessful in breaching the security systems or accessing the store's main interior. As a result, nothing was reported stolen during the break-in attempt, though the property sustained minor structural damage.

Officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary have been carrying out local enquiries, including examining CCTV footage from the supermarket and surrounding areas. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity near the supermarket, or who may have relevant dashcam footage from the area, to contact them immediately to assist with the ongoing investigation.
