Two Arrested After Commercial Burglary at Londis Store in Plymouth City Centre
Two men are in police custody following a break-in at a convenience store in Plymouth city centre in the early hours of Monday, September 23, 2024. The incident prompted a rapid police response and the establishment of a cordon at the scene near a major roundabout.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the scene at St Andrews Close at approximately 2:45 AM after receiving reports of an ongoing burglary at a commercial building. Arriving officers discovered that forced entry had been gained to the Londis convenience store located near the St Andrews Cross roundabout. The interior of the shop had been subjected to an untidy search. A police guard was set up around the storefront during the morning hours while forensic teams examined the location.
Following immediate local enquiries, officers arrested a 37-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both local residents of Plymouth, on suspicion of burglary. The two suspects remain in custody as investigations proceed.
