Two Teenagers Charged After Attempted House Break-In in Forsbrook

FORSBROOK, Staffordshire โ€” Two teenage boys from Stoke-on-Trent have appeared in court after being arrested and charged in connection with an attempted residential burglary in Forsbrook.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, when Staffordshire Police were called to a property located off Caverswall Old Road in Forsbrook following reports of an attempted break-in. Fast-responding officers arrested two 17-year-old males in the vicinity shortly after the call.

Court Appearance and Drug Charges

Following their arrest, both teenagers were officially charged with attempted burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal. One of the 17-year-olds faced an additional charge of possession with intent to supply a Class B controlled drug, specifically cannabis.

Due to their age, the defendants cannot be named for legal reasons. They appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Both teenagers were granted bail with conditions to return to the same court for a formal plea hearing scheduled for April 1, 2026.

Community Reassurance

Staffordshire Police have reassured the local Forsbrook and Caverswall communities that officers are actively investigating residential crimes and taking swift action against burglary suspects. Residents are reminded to keep doors and windows locked and to report any suspicious behavior immediately via 999 in an emergency or 101 for non-emergencies.
