Video Shows Car Crashing into Albuquerque Cannabis Dispensary in Ram-Style Burglary

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — Surveillance video captured a chaotic scene in Albuquerque early Friday morning as thieves crashed a vehicle directly into a local cannabis store during a brazen smash-and-grab style burglary.

The incident occurred around 3:00 AM when a group of suspects drove a vehicle at high speed in reverse through the front glass windows of the dispensary. The force of the collision shattered the metal security gates, destroyed the glass facade, and caused extensive interior damage. Within seconds of the impact, several masked individuals poured out of the vehicle and began sweeping cannabis inventory off the shelves and display cases into large bags.

The entire operation lasted under three minutes before the suspects piled back into the damaged vehicle and sped away from the location. Dispensary owners, who were alerted by security monitoring services, arrived to find their storefront completely open to the elements and severe damage inside the retail space. They expressed deep frustration regarding the security challenges and repair costs plaguing local dispensaries.

The Albuquerque Police Department is currently examining the high-definition security footage in an effort to identify the vehicle make, model, and license plate, as well as the individuals involved in the ram-raid. APD has asked anyone who might have seen the damaged getaway vehicle or has information about the burglary to contact their department.
