ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico โ€” An Albuquerque Fire Rescue station was burglarized on Monday after intruders forced entry and stole vital emergency equipment and personal belongings while the firefighting crew was away responding to a call.

The break-in occurred during a window when the station was unoccupied due to the crew's emergency dispatch. Taking advantage of the firefighters' absence, the perpetrators breached the building. According to authorities, the stolen items included both specialized department equipment and the personal effects of the first responders on duty.

Officials expressed deep frustration over the theft, highlighting that burglaries targeting public safety facilities not only impact the first responders but can also compromise emergency response capabilities.
