Albuquerque Couple Accused of Armed Robbery Spree Targeting Restaurants and Dispensary

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — An Albuquerque couple is behind bars after allegedly executing a string of armed robberies targeting businesses across the city over a short span of time.

According to the criminal complaint, the couple acted in tandem to target three local restaurants and a cannabis dispensary. During each incident, one suspect would brandish a handgun and demand cash from the register while the other acted as a lookout or driver. Employees at the locations reported feeling terrified as they complied with the armed demands.

Police officers utilized surveillance footage and vehicle tracking to locate the suspects' getaway car. Both individuals were arrested during a traffic stop shortly after the final robbery. Officers recovered a firearm matching the description of the weapon used in the crimes, along with cash and stolen merchandise. They face multiple charges of armed robbery, conspiracy, and unlawful carrying of a firearm.
