APD Releases New Information on New Year's Day Armed Robbery at Walgreens

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico โ€” The Albuquerque Police Department has released new details and is asking for public assistance to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Walgreens pharmacy on January 1, 2025.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the retail location during the morning hours of New Year's Day. The individual brandished a weapon and demanded cash and prescriptions from the store employees. Fearing for their lives, the workers complied with the suspect's demands. The suspect then fled the establishment on foot before officers arrived at the scene.

Detectives have been reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses in the weeks following the incident. Police hope that releasing these details will encourage members of the community to come forward with any information that might lead to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact local authorities or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
