Two Suspects in Costume Masks Arrested for Burglary at Antioch Halloween Store

ANTIOCH, CA — In a bizarre early-season heist, two individuals have been arrested and accused of burglarizing a local Halloween specialty store in Antioch while disguised in costume masks.

According to the Antioch Police Department, the incident took place in the early morning hours of September 9, 2024. Security alarms were triggered at the retail outlet, alerting dispatchers to unauthorized entry. Surveillance footage obtained from the store showed two suspects wearing holiday-themed masks loading merchandise, cash registers, and promotional items into large bags.

Responding officers established a perimeter and quickly intercepted the suspects as they attempted to flee the scene in a getaway vehicle. Police recovered all stolen items, valued at several thousand dollars, along with the masks used in the crime. The suspects, whose identities have been withheld pending formal charges, remain in custody on suspicion of commercial burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.
