Two Arrested for Separate Break-Ins in Asheville During Busy Week for Police
ASHEVILLE, NC โ Asheville police officers have arrested two individuals in connection with separate business break-ins that occurred during the same week, highlighting a surge in property crime response efforts.
The first incident occurred at a commercial property on the eastern side of Asheville, where responding officers found forced entry and quickly located a suspect still on the property. That individual was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, as well as larceny after breaking and entering.
Later in the week, officers were called to a second, unrelated break-in at a retail establishment in West Asheville. In this case, surveillance footage helped police identify a suspect who had fled before officers arrived. The suspect was tracked down and arrested a day later, facing similar felony charges.
Both individuals have been booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility. Asheville Police Department officials noted that community vigilance and prompt reporting of suspicious activities were key factors in both arrests. The investigations into both incidents remain ongoing to determine if additional charges are warranted.
