ATLANTA, GA — A Southwest Atlanta CVS pharmacy was the target of a destructive smash-and-grab burglary overnight. Thieves utilized a vehicle to ram through the storefront in order to gain access and steal the building's automated teller machine (ATM).

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to an alarm at the pharmacy and arrived to find extensive structural damage to the front of the business. The suspects had driven a vehicle directly through the glass doors and metal security gates. Once inside, the perpetrators quickly loaded the store's ATM into their vehicle and sped away.
