West Midtown Lululemon Repeatedly Targeted by Burglars, Exceeding $65K in Lost Merchandise

ATLANTA, GA — A high-end Lululemon retail store located in the busy West Midtown shopping district of Atlanta has become a recurring target for organized retail theft groups, suffering major financial losses from multiple burglaries.

The crime wave began heavily ahead of the 2024 holiday season. On December 18, 2024, thieves broke into the store and stole more than $26,000 worth of premium athletic wear and merchandise. The incident, which was investigated as a commercial burglary, dealt a heavy pre-holiday blow to the retail location. Just a day later, updated reports adjusted the estimated loss to nearly $27,000 as inventory logs were finalized.

The shop was targeted again in early 2025. In February 2025, burglars struck the West Midtown storefront once more, making off with over $38,000 in stolen apparel. Fortunately, swift action by the Atlanta Police Department led to the arrest of two suspects in connection with the February heist. Despite the arrests, security concerns persisted; in August 2025, officers were dispatched to the site yet again to investigate a suspected smash-and-grab attempt.

Local business owners in West Midtown have expressed growing concern over retail theft patterns, prompting discussions about increased private security presence and coordinated police patrols to safeguard high-value retail stores in the area.
