Bizarre Confrontation: Shoplifting Suspect Throws Boiling Water at Atlanta Gas Station Clerk

ATLANTA, GA — A bizarre and dangerous confrontation at an Atlanta convenience store has left police searching for a suspect who shoplifted honeybuns and threw boiling hot water at a store clerk. The unusual incident was captured entirely on the store's security cameras.

The altercation began when a customer was observed placing honeybuns into their pockets without paying. When the store clerk confronted the individual regarding the shoplifting, the suspect became confrontational. Surveillance video shows the suspect grabbing a container of hot water and throwing it directly at the clerk before running out of the store.

First responders arrived at the scene to treat the clerk for burns resulting from the hot liquid. The Atlanta Police Department is currently investigating the assault and shoplifting. They have released the video footage in hopes that members of the community can identify the suspect, who faces charges of retail theft and aggravated assault.
