Surveillance Video Captures Suspects Using U-Haul to Smash Storefront and Steal ATM

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta authorities have released surveillance footage detailing a dramatic smash-and-grab incident where suspects utilized a U-Haul rental truck to breach a storefront and steal an ATM.

The footage, shared on social media and local crime watch pages, captures a large U-Haul truck backing up at high speed directly into the glass facade of the business. The impact completely shattered the storefront, allowing several masked individuals to quickly enter the building. Within minutes, the suspects wrapped chains around the store's ATM, dragged it out using the vehicle, and loaded it into the back of the truck before driving off.

Detectives are investigating the incident as part of a series of commercial burglaries involving rented or stolen moving trucks. The store owner has reported extensive structural damage to the property in addition to the loss of the ATM and the cash inside it.
