Stolen Vehicle Used in Auburn 7-Eleven Robbery Linked to Regional Crime Spree
AUBURN, WA โ Auburn Police Department detectives are investigating a commercial robbery at a local 7-Eleven store that appears to be part of a broader, multi-city crime spree. The suspects involved used a stolen vehicle to execute the robbery and escape, indicating a coordinated pattern of criminal activity spanning across Pierce and King Counties.
The 7-Eleven Incident
On November 12, 2025, suspects arrived at the 7-Eleven store in Auburn operating a vehicle that had been previously reported stolen. Witnesses stated that the individuals entered the convenience store, threatened the employees, and demanded cash and merchandise. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money and items, the suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle before law enforcement units could arrive.
Officers secured the scene and began gathering physical evidence, including surveillance footage from the store and surrounding businesses. The vehicle's license plate and description were immediately broadcast to neighboring police agencies.
A Regional Pattern
Investigators quickly established connections between the Auburn robbery and similar crimes reported in the neighboring cities of Fife and Tacoma. Police believe the same group of suspects has been utilizing stolen vehicles to conduct rapid-fire robberies at retail establishments along the Interstate 5 corridor.
"The suspects are exploiting the speed and anonymity of stolen vehicles to move quickly between jurisdictions," an Auburn police spokesperson noted. "By collaborating with our partners in Fife and Tacoma, we are tracing the timeline of these vehicles to identify the individuals behind this retail theft crew." Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area on the night of the incident to contact the Auburn Police Department tip line.
