Thieves Make Off with $40,000 in Jewelry in Bold Augusta Mall Heist

AUGUSTA, Ga. — A bold heist at the Augusta Mall has left a jewelry retailer short of approximately $40,000 in merchandise, prompting a search for the perpetrators. The incident occurred on June 14, 2025, during mall business hours, creating a brief panic among nearby shoppers.

According to the Augusta Press and local police reports, the suspects targeted a jewelry store inside the shopping center. Demonstrating significant coordination, they executed the theft quickly, smashing glass displays to grab high-value necklaces, rings, and watches before fleeing the mall through a designated exit. Store employees were shaken but uninjured during the robbery.
