Two Suspects Detained After Carjacking and Assault at Colfax Avenue Gas Station

AURORA, Colorado — Two suspects are in custody after a violent assault and carjacking at a gas station along East Colfax Avenue, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The incident occurred while the victim was pumping gas. Investigators report that the suspects approached the victim, initiated a physical altercation, and subsequently stole the victim's vehicle. Thanks to a rapid response from local law enforcement, officers spotted the stolen vehicle a short distance away. Following a brief pursuit, police successfully stopped the vehicle and took two suspects into custody without further incident.
