Burglars Target Southwest Bakersfield Liquidation Store, Stealing Inventory

BAKERSFIELD, CA — A burglary at the Last Chance liquidation store in Southwest Bakersfield has prompted an investigation by local law enforcement. Suspects broke into the retail establishment on February 25, 2026, stealing multiple items of inventory and causing damage to the property.

According to responding officers, the burglars forced their way into the store during non-business hours. The perpetrators targeted specific liquidation items, loading them up before fleeing the scene. Store management discovered the break-in the following morning and contacted police, who arrived to collect evidence and document the scene.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the store's security system and surrounding businesses. The Bakersfield Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious vehicles or individuals in the vicinity of the Southwest Bakersfield shopping center during the late hours of February 25 to come forward.
