Homicide investigation launched after man found dead in east Bakersfield home

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway in East Bakersfield after a man was found shot and killed inside a home on November 22, 2025. The Bakersfield Police Department is actively searching for suspects and appealing to the public for any information that could assist in the case.

Discovery of the Victim

Officers responded to a residence in the eastern portion of the city following reports of shots fired inside a home. Upon entering the dwelling, officers discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical emergency services were dispatched to the scene, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the location due to the severity of his injuries.
