Bakersfield PD Searches for Man Who Allegedly Stole Packs of Cigarettes from Gas Station

BAKERSFIELD, California — The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a male suspect who allegedly stole multiple packs of cigarettes from a local gas station convenience store. The incident has prompted police to release details to the public in an effort to locate the individual.

According to BPD reports, the suspect entered the retail area of the gas station and walked behind the counter or reached over to access the cigarette display. He grabbed several packs of cigarettes and exited the store without paying. Store employees reported the theft to law enforcement immediately after the suspect left the premises.

Investigators have reviewed security footage showing the suspect inside the store. The BPD is asking for help from the community to identify the man. He is described as an adult male who was captured on camera wearing distinctive clothing during the theft.
