Bakersfield Police Seek Public Assistance in Truxtun Avenue Storage Unit Burglary
BAKERSFIELD, CA โ The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the communityโs help in identifying multiple suspects connected to a burglary at a storage facility on Truxtun Avenue.
According to police reports, the suspects gained entry to the storage property and successfully breached several individual units. A variety of personal items, tools, and electronics were reported stolen by the unit owners, who were devastated by the loss of their property. The incident occurred during off-hours, and investigators believe multiple individuals worked together to execute the theft and transport the stolen goods.
Both local news outlets, BakersfieldNow and KGET, reported on the police department's efforts to gather tips from the public. Officers have released descriptions of the suspects based on initial security footage. "Storage unit burglaries can be challenging to solve without public assistance, as victims often do not discover the theft immediately," a BPD spokesperson noted.
Anyone who observed suspicious trucks or individuals loading items near the Truxtun Avenue facility on or around October 20 is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to help advance the investigation.
