Bakersfield Police Investigating Commercial Break-In on Rosedale Highway

BAKERSFIELD, CA — The Bakersfield Police Department has launched an investigation into a commercial burglary that took place at a business located along the busy Rosedale Highway commercial corridor.

Officers responded to the scene on the morning of October 16 after employees arrived to find signs of forced entry. The suspect had reportedly breached the entry doors during the late-night hours. Inside, the suspect targeted the cash register and selected high-value inventory before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

Rosedale Highway is one of Bakersfield's most heavily traffield commercial thoroughfares, and investigators are hoping that motorists or nearby overnight workers might have noticed suspicious activity. BPD detectives are collecting security footage from the business and neighboring storefronts to piece together the suspect's description and path of escape.
