Baltimore Police Officer Wounded, Gunman Killed in Midday Shootout

BALTIMORE, MD — A tense confrontation during a midday burglary response escalated into violence, resulting in a Baltimore police officer being wounded and the suspect fatally shot.

On the morning of March 10, 2026, officers responded to a call reporting an active burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police encountered an armed individual at the scene.
