Surveillance Video Captures Armed Robbery at Don Wireless in Baltimore's Pigtown Neighborhood

BALTIMORE, MD — Police are investigating a brazen armed robbery that took place on August 15, 2025, at Don Wireless, a local cell phone and computer repair shop located in the Pigtown neighborhood of Baltimore. Surveillance video captured the moment a masked gunman entered the establishment, threatened a customer and the store owner, and fled with cash.

The incident unfolded around 5:00 p.m. at the business located on Washington Boulevard. Footage shows the suspect, dressed in a dark hoodie, face mask, and gloves, entering the store and immediately pointing a handgun at a customer. The gunman then kicked open a door leading to a back office, confronting the shop's owner who was working inside.

Under the threat of violence, the gunman ordered the owner to empty the cash register. After taking the money, the suspect commanded the store owner to lie on the floor, warning, "Don't move, if you move I'll shoot." The owner complied, remaining calm throughout the ordeal to avoid escalating the threat to his life. The suspect then fled the store in an unknown direction.

The shop owner, who has operated Don Wireless for a decade, spoke to reporters anonymously. He noted that property crime in Pigtown has increased, leading to growing safety concerns among local business owners. He urged the city to increase police presence, advocating for active foot patrols to deter criminals and protect the community.

The Baltimore Police Department has released the surveillance footage to the public and is asking for assistance. Metro Crime Stoppers and police have announced a reward of up to $4,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
