Former Take 5 Oil Change Employee Arrested After Commercial Break-In and Safe Theft

BATON ROUGE, LA โ€” A former employee of a Take 5 Oil Change location has been arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department following an investigation into a commercial burglary. The suspect allegedly forced entry into the establishment after hours and stole a significant amount of cash from the office safe.

According to arrest records, the incident occurred at the oil change facility when the suspect used his knowledge of the business's security layout and operations to bypass certain measures. Surveillance cameras captured footage of an individual matching the suspect's description entering the premises and accessing the safe.

BRPD officers located and arrested the suspect shortly after the incident was reported by management. The individual has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of simple burglary and theft. Authorities confirmed that a portion of the stolen funds was recovered during the arrest.
