Attempted Robbery at North Acadian Thruway Convenience Store Leaves One Injured

BATON ROUGE, La. โ€” An attempted robbery at a local convenience store located at the intersection of North Acadian Thruway and Ozark Street has left one person injured, triggering an active investigation by the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Police responded to the scene late Friday night following reports of a disturbance and attempted theft. Upon arrival, officers discovered one individual suffering from injuries sustained during the incident. The victim was treated by emergency medical services, though the severity of the injuries has not been officially released.

Detectives are working to determine the sequence of events and identify the suspect or suspects involved in the incident. BRPD has requested that anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of North Acadian Thruway and Ozark Street around the time of the incident contact detectives immediately.
