Two Suspects Steal Seven STIHL Chainsaws from Beaumont Northern Tool Store

BEAUMONT, Texas — Police are searching for two men who stole seven high-end chainsaws from the Northern Tool + Equipment store on the Eastex Freeway in Beaumont. The brazen daytime theft took place on September 27, 2025, and resulted in a loss of merchandise valued at nearly $12,000.

According to the store manager, the incident occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m., shortly after the retail location at 6250 Eastex Freeway, Suite 100, opened its doors. The two suspects entered the store and located a display of premium STIHL chainsaws. Using bolt cutters they found on a nearby shelf inside the store, the men cut the steel security cables securing the heavy equipment.

A store employee who noticed the suspicious activity attempted to intervene and halt the theft. During the confrontation, one of the suspects physically pushed the staff member out of the way before the duo loaded the seven chainsaws into a shopping cart. The employee did not sustain any injuries during the altercation.

The suspects rolled the cart out of the store and loaded the stolen chainsaws into the trunk of an awaiting vehicle. The getaway car is described as a white, mid-2000s (possibly 2006 or 2007) Buick LaCrosse with no visible license plates. The manager estimated the retail value of each stolen chainsaw between $1,500 and $1,700, bringing the total value of the stolen STIHL merchandise to between $10,500 and $11,900. Beaumont authorities have released descriptions of the suspects and are urging anyone with information to contact police.
