One Dead, Three Wounded in Southwest Birmingham Apartment Home Invasion

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A deadly home invasion and shooting at an apartment complex in southwest Birmingham has left one person dead and three others wounded, prompting a major investigation by local homicide detectives.

Officers responded to emergency calls reporting multiple gunshots at the residential complex. Upon arrival, police discovered four victims inside an apartment. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three were rushed to a nearby hospital with varying degrees of gunshot injuries. The identities of the victims have not yet been released pending family notification.
